I've begin researching more onto how to incorporate Snake onto Javascript and it's a very large hassle. I had to use a lot of sources outside of Codecademy to help me with learning how to code Snake. However I did learn a lot from these videos and sites and it taught me that coding is not simple but that there are a lot of sites and applications that will assist you when you code something. The final product is coming along well and I have made many new discoveries with coding and how much more difficult it can actually be. Though despite these challenges, there are again many sites and applications out there that help people just like me who are interested in learning how to code Javascript. What keeps me excited is that I know I will be able to code Snake, though with a very large assistance of other videos, I know I can do it. I'm happy with my progress since I know I can accomplish what I need to do. Something interesting that happened was that I found notepad++, which is what you need to actually code anything in Javascript or in any other language.
Below is an image of notepad++ which is what I am using to code Snake. http://cdn.portableapps.com/NotepadppPortable.png

I finished learning how to code from codecademy's section on Javascript, but unfortunately I didn't teach me much in how to code Snake from scratch. However, I did learn a lot of useful wording and when I looked at other people's coding for the game Snake, I was able to understand a lot of what they wrote and how each line of code corresponded with an action inside the game. The final product is coming along fine now, right now I just need to learn how to follow instructions from another source on how to create Snake and hopefully I will be able to create my own version of Snake. What keeps me excited is that hopefully I learned a lot from using codecademy, maybe not making games on my own, but I got an understanding of how much effort is put in to making games or applications. I'm happy with my progress since I finished using codecademy. Something interesting that happened in the last week was that I finished the Javascript portion of codecademy. The picture below is the final screen of Javascript. https://s3.amazonaws.com/codecademy-blog/assets/03-2013-new-experience.png

Unfortunately the last segment of learning how to code is taking a lot longer than expected, but I have been looking at ways to code snake and it doesn't look too hard. The final product is coming along fine even though I have been having a lot of trouble understanding how to code lately. What keeps me excited is that I will be able to code Snake and it will hopefully be functional, I am okay with my progress so far, I wish I understood more on how to code, but it's fine. Something interesting that happened in this last week was that I learned that it was not that difficult to learn how to code Snake, though I could probably never do it from my own knowledge, with the assistance of other websites, I expect to be able to code Snake at least to a certain extent. Not much has come in the past week except that I have come to the final steps of coding. I've learned the core mechanics of using Javascript, and I believe that with the assistance of other websites out there, I can learn to make a replica of Snake. I am still pretty excited to the thought of creating a game using Javascript but what bothers me is that how much effort it will take to make Snake. My progress so far is adequate, sometimes I wish that I remembered everything about coding, but if I do research, a lot of the processes in coding comes back to my head after I research for long enough. Something interesting that has happened in the last week was that I saw a website that I could use to greatly aid my with making Snake, though it provides basically a copy and paste way of making it, I want to try to make it on my own. I've recently discovered new videos on why coding is so good and how it can be very beneficial in the future. I've been looking at this videos and getting more motivation on doing coding. The final product is coming along fine, however, the latest coding in codecademy is making it very hard to understand but I can get the gist of it eventually. What keeps me excited about this is that I'll be able to make my own game which seems pretty amazing. What still bothers me is how hard it is to create the game. I'm fine with my progress so far, but I wish it was faster. Something interesting that happened was that I've learned a lot about javascript now. http://www.bloggingpro.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/coda-meets-wordpress-coding-standards.png This image shows how coding a game might look like.

Lately I've been deciding on which game I want to make and I finally decided I want to make a game that plays like Snake. I've been looking at the coding for it and it looks pretty simple to make a replica of the game though it make take a while. The final product is keeping me excited because it's pretty amazing to think that I can make a game from the knowledge I obtained from coding. What still bothers me is that since coding is so complex, I can still make many mistakes from one tiny mistake and it's gonna take a while to be able to do the game. Something interesting that happened was that I found out Snake is one of the earliest games ever made. I hope for my game to look like the image below. http://www.maniacworld.com/snake-game.jpg

http://code.org/learn
I found this website from browsing more websites to use to learn coding, it helped me because it provided an alternate to codecademy and helped me learn coding there too. Though both websites are very similar in material, code.org does have a couple of extended material that codecademy didn't have. However, I still prefer codecademy because of the visual appeal and how it goes in more depth on what mistakes you make and helps more on explanations of what everything does.

I found this website from searching some interesting facts and stories about coding. The website helped me because it gave me some more motivation on to continue coding with giving me facts and knowledge on why coding is so important. Mainly telling how coding will eventually become something that will be very useful in the upcoming future because of the advancement of technology. This website gave me some faith to possibly pursuing coding later on.
